I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
